ENGL 301 | Fall/2026
My first essay of the fall semester, for which I received an A.
A personal reflection on Lynda Barry’s “The Sanctuary of School,” exploring how schools can provide children with stability, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Drawing from my own experiences growing up with ADHD and dyslexia, I discuss the importance of supportive teachers, creative outlets, and school funding. This essay reflects on how, for some children, school can be much more than a place to learn; it can be a place where they feel safe, seen, and cared for.
